April wrapped up with the take-offs of several eagerly-awaited smash hits, many of which had been pushed back multiple times due to the pandemic, including Sony’s Morbius, Michael Bay’s Ambulance, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the black comedy The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, the animated adventure The Bad Guys, and Robert Eggers’ The Northman. All The Old Knives was the only film to get a simultaneous streaming release, which is also accessible on Amazon Prime Video, while many others will emerge on various platforms 45 days after their theatrical premieres.

May’s film list may be shorter than last month’s, but it does come along with several highly anticipated titles, including the return of Doctor Strange, a new adaptation of a Stephen King novel, Alex Garland’s latest film, the long-awaited Top Gun sequel, and two films based on very different television shows. Here is a list of all the movies that will be released in May 2022.

    Firestarter – May 13

    Monstrous – May 13
