The film, directed by Hannah Marks, about a terminally sick father’s final vacation with his daughter, will premiere on Prime Video on July 15.+

In the first teaser for Amazon Studios’ Don’t Make Me Go, John Cho plays a father on a mission.
The film follows Cho‘s single-parent Max and his daughter Wally, played by Mia Isaac, on a road journey from California to New York, directed by Hannah Marks (After Everything, Mark, Mary, and Some Other People) and scripted by Vera Herbert (This Is Us).
They’re traveling under the guise of driving lessons for Wally and Max’s 20-year college reunion, where he also intends to reconnect with her mother, who has been missing from the family for years. But there’s another reason the father-daughter duo is on the lengthy trip: Max has a terminal illness, and he’s trying to use their time together on the cross-country trip to fill in the time, experiences, and love that Wally will miss once he’s gone.
A father and daughter will bond across the generational difference as they battle with the expected and surprising reality of their lifetime connection cut short on that long journey, which is packed with heart and comedy.
There was one moment in the trailer when Max told her daughter that he want her to remember them spending time together, not that she waiting for her boyfriend to call when she look back on this trip.
In another scene, Wally told her father, “I bet on you.” “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Leah Holzer, Donald De Line, and Peter Saraf produced Don’t Make Me Go, which also stars Jemaine Clement, Stefania LaVie Owen, Mitchell Hope, and Kaya Scodelario.
The film will be available on Prime Video globally on July 15th.
