Ncuti Gutwa, who just earned the lead role on Doctor Who, is still scheduled to return to the Netflix series as Eric Effiong. Sex Education Season 4 has been making headlines when cast members confirmed they would not be returning owing to each of their own reasons.

Four cast members, including Simone Ashley as Olivia Hanan, Patricia Allison as Ola Nyman, Tanya Reynolds as Lily Iglehart, and Rakhee Thakrar as Emily Sands, indicated they won’t be coming back for the fourth season of the TV show.
Ncuti Gatwa is still planning to return for Sex Education Season 4 despite being cast in another blockbuster series, even if Doctor Who chooses to appoint him as the Fourteenth Doctor to replace Jodie Whittaker.
The long-running BBC program will welcome Ncuti Gatwa as the first openly homosexual Doctor. He made the announcement in May.
The scheduling of Sex Education Season 4 and Doctor Who, which is presently filming in Wales, thankfully do not coincide, giving Ncuti Gatwa enough time to manage both shows and feature on both.
Ncuti Gatwa portrays Eric Effiong, Otis Milburn’s best friend, in Sex Education Season 3. Eric ended his relationship with Adam because he felt that he was losing a piece of himself by being with someone who wasn’t ready to accept who he was yet.
The start of Doctor Who Season 14 is scheduled for November 23, 2023. Sex Education Season 4 doesn’t have a set date of release.
