America Chavez seeks out the Book of Vishanti, knowing that it is the only way to stop the entity that has been pursuing her, which has turned out to be a Darkhold-consumed Wanda Maximoff who has gone, full-on Scarlet Witch. America realized that the Book of Vishanti was the only way to absorb America‘s abilities so she could explore the multiverse and be with her boys.

In the comics, the Book of Vishanti has an infinite number of pages and is designed to deflect magic with spells that should only be used for defense and never for the offensive. Holders of the gook get extensive knowledge in order to combat evil or dark magic. It claims to be the polar opposite of the Darkhold with this. The book was written by Agamotto, the first Sorcerer Supreme.
The Book of Vishanti would be their go-to weapon now that Wanda has been eaten by the Darkhold. After all, it’s the polar opposite of the Book of the Damned.

However, when they arrived at a copy of the Book of Vishanti on Earth 838, Wanda used chaos magic on the copy, setting it on fire.
The theory goes like this: the Darkhold contains several copies, as seen throughout the film with Wanda’s copy, Sinister Strange’s copy, and, of course, the inscriptions on the temple of Chthon’s primary copy. Wanda promised to delete every duplicate of it in the multiverse so that no one else could read it when she realized who she had become.
The Book of Vishanti would be the same way. Only one copy has been destroyed; other universes, including Earth 616, would very certainly have duplicates. Even if Chthon is officially canon in the MCU, the threat remains since the Darkhold is written into the demon’s mind if the ancient evil is awakened.
