If you haven’t watched Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, SPOILER ALERTS!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows Benedict Cumberbatch‘s eponymous hero as he navigates the multiverse’s instability, which is shockingly created by Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen. Doctor Strange then became embroiled with America Chavez, who is being pursued by Scarlet Witch in order to absorb her power to travel between realities. Strange and Wong use every trick in the book to keep Chavez away from the merciless monster, but the Scarlet Witch‘s power outlasts them all.
During the conflict, Chavez unintentionally established a portal to another reality, taking herself and Doctor Strange to another universe. The initial MCU reality is designated Earth 616, and this universe is the first-ever introduction to the Multiverse, which was revealed to be Earth 838.

Later on, the word ‘Incursions‘ is mentioned, and true Marvel fans were ecstatic at the prospect of a direct reference to one of the greatest storylines in the history of Marvel Comics.
But what exactly is an Incursion?
An Incursion is a cataclysmic occurrence in which two universes collide and annihilate each other. This occurrence, first described in 2015’s ‘New Avengers Vol. 3,’ has led to one of Marvel Comics’ most popular stories, the Secret Wars. The only way to escape an Incursion now is to destroy the other reality, which causes a major struggle among our Marvel heroes about whether to rescue the original one or destroy the other.

“You caused an incursion and we’re going to fix it,” says a mystery female sorcerer in a purple outfit played by Charlize Theron in the film’s post-credits sequence.
She tears a hole in reality with a sword, revealing a passage to what looks to be the Dark Dimension, where Doctor Strange played mind games with Dormammu in the first film.
Now, it’s clear that this Incursion isn’t a one-off for the MCU, and that it’ll be the major focus of Doctor Strange 3, with Theron’s character playing a key role in Doctor Strange‘s return to the Dark Dimension. At this point, the only thing that makes sense is that Dormammu will be the major antagonist in Doctor Strange 3, although Marvel might play it differently.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is presently in theaters all around the world.
