
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has received its first round of critical reception, which has been overwhelmingly positive with an early Rotten Tomatoes score of 84 %. The film will storm into theaters on May 6, 2022.
Rotten Tomatoes revealed the early score for Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron on Twitter with a “Fresh” 84 percent rating based on the first 56 reviews. The film had its world premiere yesterday, May 2, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, where director Sam Raimi and the film’s principal cast, which included Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams, and Patrick Stewart, were in attendance on the red carpet to celebrate.
Numerous early reviews extol filmmaker Sam Raimi, whose experience on a slew of horror productions and the genre-defining Spider-Man films of the aughts make him a perfect fit for a Marvel project of this scope. Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, who reprise their respective MCU roles of Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch, also garner accolades for their performances in this newest Marvel blockbuster.
