It appears like Doctor Strange 3 will soon be released.

The existence of a third picture for the MCU’s solo journey of the titular hero has been questioned following the success of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness last year. Despite the fact that the movie’s ending does provide some direction for his future, Marvel Studios hasn’t said much about what they have in store for the character after the sequel.
Now, a recent scoop from well-known insider Jason Kane (Greatphase) allegedly revealed some alleged details about the upcoming MCU projects including Doctor Strange 3, where it was claimed that Marvel Studios is allegedly speeding up the project and is planning to release it before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2026.
As a result of the alterations in their plans, it was also claimed that Scott Derrickson, who helmed the first movie, would return to lead the character’s third standalone adventure and that Marvel Studios will rearrange certain projects on their schedule starting in 2025.
Big Screen Leaks, another well-known insider, confirmed the rumor on Twitter but expressed skepticism regarding Derrickson’s appearance in the third movie because they hadn’t heard of it. In case you missed it, before leaving due to creative differences, he was also scheduled to direct Multiverse of Madness.
Remembering that Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed their plans for Doctor Strange 3, we must proceed with caution for the time being. The same goes for other rumors of purported schedule rearranging.
It is inevitable that Multiverse of Madness will eventually receive a third feature because it was the highest-grossing comic book movie last year. The conclusion also set some basis for potential future topics of investigation.
What will the plot of the third movie be, if they do make it? Does Derrickson really make a comeback? Or perhaps Sam Raimi makes a comeback from the second movie? Benedict Cumberbatch and, to a lesser extent, Charlize Theron’s Clea, who appeared in the mid-credits sequence, will undoubtedly return. Right now, we will never know.
