Fans are only a few weeks away from seeing the MCU’s first new film of 2022 in cinemas. After repeated delays, a new director, and a worldwide epidemic, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is looming near the horizon. In the Doctor Strange sequel, Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Stephen Strange will be compelled to violate the fundamental seams of reality in order to rescue it.
Despite the fact that the deadline is less than a month away, the project remains cloaked in secrecy. Two trailers for the film have been released, revealing Strange’s new reality-bending squad of heroes as well as a few of the suspected Multiversal cameos set to appear in the film.
With such a huge reality-spanning narrative planned for Multiverse of Madness, fans expected it to have a similarly massive duration. It was claimed a few weeks ago that the film will last for 2 hours and 28 minutes, making it the fourth-longest MCU film ever.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ official runtime has been announced by Fandango ahead of its May 6 release date.
The Strange-centric sequel clocks in around 2 hours and 6 minutes, substantially less than the Multiversal epic’s reported duration.
The interesting thing is, that Marvel Studios has confirmed that its tickets will be available an entire month prior to the film’s May 6th release date, which will be on Wednesday, April 6th.
