    ‘Doctor Strange 2,’ ‘Don’t Worry Darling,’ and Other Winners in People’s Choice Awards

    The People’s Choice Award for Best Motion Picture of the Year in 2022 went to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, winning the night’s top prize.

    For the best comedy, action, and drama films, The Adam Project, Top Gun: Maverick, and Don’t Worry Darling, respectively, won awards. For the best television shows, Stranger Things, Grey’s Anatomy, and Never Have I Ever got the awards.

    Harry Styles won the prize for the best male musician, and BTS was named the best music group, while Taylor Swift won the best female artist, best album for Midnights, and best music video for “Anti-Hero” awards. Other artists honored for their music included Lizzo, Carrie Underwood, Becky G, and Latto.

    The awards, which honored the greatest in television, music, and pop culture, were presented by Kenan Thompson and broadcast live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Tuesday.

    In addition to receiving the People’s Champion Award, Lizzo also won song of the year for “About Damn Time.” The Music Icon Award went to Shania Twain, and the People’s Icon Award went to Ryan Reynolds. Best new artist nominee Lauren Spencer performed her song “Fingers Crossed,” while Twain gave a combination of her greatest songs and her most recent single, “Waking Up Dreaming.”
