The first trailer for the highly awaited live-action Pinocchio movie adaptation has arrived, and it promises a big adventure for the wooden kid.

Robert Zemeckis is tapped to take over the directorial duties of Pinocchio, which stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the titular character, Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Keegan-Michael Key as Honest John, Luke Evans as the villainous Coachman, and Lorraine Bracco as Sofia the Seagull, a new character created specifically for the live-action movie. Pinocchio is set to hit Disney+ on September 8, 2022.

1940 marked the theatrical premiere of the original Pinocchio, which received two Academy Awards. Dickie Jones provided the principal voice in the 1940 Disney animated picture Pinocchio, while Cliff Edwards and Christian Rubino voice Jiminy Cricket and Master Geppetto, respectively.
