Blind Al and Dopinder will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Fans of the Merc with a Mouth will be pleased to learn that Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams will reprise their roles as Dopinder and Blind Al in the upcoming Deadpool film, according to reports. The two actors join the Deadpool 3 roster, which already includes Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen.
The reappearance of these two Deadpool fan favorites will no doubt be welcomed by fans of the Marvel franchise. In the previous films, Dopinder’s eccentric personality and Blind Al’s no-nonsense approach provided the right balance to Deadpool’s irreverent humor, and moviegoers will no doubt be anxious to watch how their characters develop in Deadpool 3.
Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as the Merc with a Mouth, and Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine. The two characters have a long history in comics, but they haven’t been together on the big screen since 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Before being acquired by The Walt Disney Corporation, 20th Century Fox produced the first two Deadpool films. Deadpool 3 is being developed as the first film in the franchise to take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Shawn Levy will helm Deadpool 3 after previously collaborating with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The next Marvel Studios movie also represents a return for Levy and Hugh Jackman, who previously collaborated on Real Steel.
After writing the first two parts in the series, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the script for Deadpool 3. The Molyneux sisters contributed to an earlier draft of the project.
