Following the success of The Batman, Matt Reeves plans to extend the franchise even further by developing not just a cinematic sequel, but a slew of television spinoffs, all of which will be available exclusively on HBO Max. One of those will be The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell as protagonist and delving into his criminal path in Gotham City.
Now, it seems that the release date for The Penguin is getting quite clear now. According to a production listing, the highly awaited new Batman spinoff series is slated to begin production in Los Angeles, California on June 15, 2022.
