Just one year out from the movie’s debut, Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer has its first poster online.

The film, which stars Cillian Murphy from The Dark Knight, tells the life story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, who invented the atomic bomb. Additionally, the first poster reveals the kind of breathtaking graphics that fans have come to anticipate from Christopher Nolan.
The film’s cast is listed on the poster, which also portrays Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer standing in front of a wall of flame.
After previously appearing in all three films in The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Dunkirk, Cillian Murphy will star in Oppenheimer for the sixth time in a Christopher Nolan movie. But this will be Murphy’s first time playing the lead in a Nolan movie.
The official Twitter account for the movie published the first Oppenheimer poster earlier today, one year before the movie’s July 21st premiere.
Nuclear scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer contributed to the development of the first nuclear bombs during World War II as part of the United States’ Manhattan Project. The Los Alamos Laboratory, where the first atomic bombs were created, was led by Oppenheimer.
The Oppenheimer cast also features well-known actors like Florence Pugh, Dane DeHaan, Benny Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Jack Quaid, Gary Oldman, Josh Peck, Rami Malek, David Krumholtz, Kenneth Branagh, Jason Clarke, Alden Ehrenreich, and Matthias Schweighofer in addition to Cillian Murphy in the title role. Robert Downey Jr. will join the cast to play Lewis Strauss while Matt Damon plays Leslie Groves Jr.
On July 21, 2023, Oppenheimer will premiere in cinemas.
