Due to the inclusion of a gay kiss, Pixar’s New Toy Story spin-off, Lightyear, in which the Buzz Lightyear toy was inspired by Chris Evans, has been attacked by review bombers.

Lightyear has been introduced as a fictional movie in the Toy Story universe. The Buzz Lightyear action figure that Andy took in the first Toy Story movie was inspired by this project. The movie depicts the story of Chris Evans’ Buzz when he tries to escape from an alien world in which he and other space rangers have been isolated.
The movie includes a same-sex kiss between two women, which is prohibited in some countries. Homophobic opinions now even appear in online films.
Lightyear is set to be publically released this Wednesday while there hasn’t been a release date for the Chris Evans film. Nevertheless, there has been a bunch of one-star reviews pouring in on IMDb aiming to attack the Pixar feature. It is fortunate that IMDb stopped these trolls immediately; furthermore, user comments and reviews on Lightyear are locked temporarily.
The movie is directed by Angus MacLane and stars a talented voice cast including Chris Evans, Uzo Aduba, Peter Sohn, Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi, Dale Soules, Mary McDonald-Lewis, James Brolin, Keira Hairston, Efren Ramirez, and Isiah Whitlock Jr.
Lightyear is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 17, 2022.
