The film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from Marvel has received four Oscar nominations.

Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams made the formal nomination announcements for the 95th Academy Awards. Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Additionally competing for awards are Best Original Song, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling for the Marvel Studios film.
The 95th Academy Awards are planned to take place on March 13, 2023, and Jimmy Kimmel will serve as host for the event for the third time. The Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California is where the event is taking place.
Ryan Coogler directed Wakanda Forever based on a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole. Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel, and Lupita Nyong’o are some of the actors who appear in the film.
Two years after the release of Black Panther and T’Challa’s return in Avengers: Infinity War and its follow-up Endgame, the actor who played T’Challa, Chadwick Boseman, died at the age of 43.
