Warner Bros. Pictures has just unveiled the opening scene from the Dwayne Johnson-led superhero flick Black Adam, which is taking worldwide cinemas by storm with a sum of over $360 million at the box office. It may now be streamed on all VOD platforms.

The 10-minute video provides a sneak peek into the titular anti-hero’s origin story, which centers on a brave boy’s desire to liberate his people from slavery. This results in him becoming the champion of the Council of Wizards, who then grant him the powers of Shazam The video also introduces Amon and Adrianna Tomaz, played by Bodhi Sabongui and Sarah Shahi, respectively.
Black Adam also introduces Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam or the titular antihero, whose backstory was first teased in the 2019 film Shazam! This is the first live-action appearance for the character, who has previously only been seen in animated shows and films such as Young Justice.
In addition to Johnson, other cast members include Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, James Cusati-Moyer, Uli Latukefu, and Mo Amer are all confirmed to be on board, but their roles remain kept under wraps.
