Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson, is off to a strong start at the box office.

With $7.6 million from Thursday night previews, Black Adam has already outperformed all but two of Dwayne Johnson’s prior films, Furious 7 ($15.8M) and The Fate of the Furious ($10.4M). F7 and F8, on the other hand, were both ensemble pieces, whereas Johnson directs Black Adam, a stand-alone film.
Black Adam garnered mixed reviews from reviewers despite a strong start. According to 152 professional reviewers, the movie now has a 43 percent rating on the well-known review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes. One of the lowest ratings in the whole DC Extended Universe series.
The most recent release from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment is Black Adam. The CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, has previously praised the studio’s upcoming Shazam! The Flash and Fury of the Gods, as Dwayne Johnson keeps hinting at his role as Black Adam in upcoming films.
