Tracking figures are in, and according to the Hollywood trades, The Rock’s film career’s largest opening is presently expected for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

The superhero movie is expected to make between $70 and $75 million at the box office.
Black Adam would be The Rock’s biggest launch outside of the Fast & Furious series if the tracking holds up. In August of 2019, Hobbs and Shaw had a $60 million domestic opening weekend. The movie would end up earning $760.3 million globally.
If Black Adam is well-received, the movie may have a comparable domestic opening weekend as Venom: Let There Be Carnage‘s $80 million and end up making $213.5 million.
As a result of the creation of Warner Bros. Discovery, the future of the DC franchise is currently uncertain. Recently, CEO David Zaslav hinted to a ten-year strategy for DC as well as a “reset” that was modeled after Kevin Feige’s work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Warner Bros. also eliminated Batgirl with further revisions planned.
Following Shazam, David Zaslav expressed trust in DC’s upcoming project, Black Adam. The Flash and Fury of the Gods. Black Adam may be a key figure in the franchise’s future since Dwayne Johnson has been pushing his participation in the DC Universe for some time.
On October 21, 2022, Black Adam had its world debut.
