The official trailer for Beast, an upcoming action-packed survival thriller starring Idris Elba has been dropped. The film is slated to hit cinemas on August 19.
The trailer, which can be seen below, shows Elba‘s character as a father battling for the lives of himself and his daughters against a gigantic lion.
Baltasar Kormákur is behind Beast’s direction, which hails from a script penned by Ryan Engle inspired by Jaime Primak Sullivan’s original story. Along with Elba, Leah Sava Jeffries (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and Iyana Halley (The Hate U Give, This is Us series) are also on board.
Will Packer, the blockbuster producer of the Ride Along franchise, Girls Trip, and 10 films reign supreme at the U.S. box office, along with James Lopez, the head of Will Packer Productions, produce Beast. Bernard Bellew and Jaime Primak Sullivan serve as executive producers.
