
The official The Gold trailer for the forthcoming crime drama has been released by BBC One. The series is based on the actual Brink’s-Mat robbery, which is to date Britain’s largest gold theft. Although there is no firm release date at this time, it is anticipated to make its debut this year.
The actions after the crime are shown in the video as the police try to rapidly find the stolen gold before it totally vanishes from view. Additionally, it gives us our first glimpse of its renowned cast, which also features Hugh Bonneville and Dominic Cooper.

Aneil Karia, an Oscar-winning director, and Lawrence Gough adapted Neil Forsyth’s screenplay for their movie The Gold. The renowned actual story of the Brink’s-Mat robbery and the protracted series of events that ensued served as the basis for the television series.
Hugh Bonneville from Downton Abbey, Jack Lowden from Slow Horses, Dominic Cooper from The Preacher, Charlotte Spencer from The Duke, Tom Cullen from Black Mirror, Emun Elliott from Guilt, Old, Sean Harris from Mission: Impossible, Ellora Torchia from Midsommar, and Stefanie Martini (The Last Kingdom) all appear in it.
Forsyth and Ben Farrell of Tannadice Pictures, Tommy Bulfin of the BBC, Kate Laffey and Claire Sowerby-Sheppard of VIS, and Charlie Leech of VIS are the executive producers of the show.
The Gold will launch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK before making its American debut on Paramount+.
