Currently, Avatar: The Way of Water has the most box office earnings in 2022.
The biggest movie of 2022, Avatar: The Way of Water, surpassed Top Gun: Maverick at the box office on Wednesday. For a current global total of $1.52 billion, the movie has taken in $454 million domestically and more than $1 billion internationally.
The first Avatar movie continues to hold the record with a $2.923 billion global box office gross. Prior to being replaced by a re-release, the Marvel Studios film Avengers: Endgame briefly removed the film from the top spot on the all-time box office charts.
With a PG-13 rating and a runtime of 3 hours, and 12 minutes, The Way of Water is around 30 minutes longer than the first installment of the Avatar series. The sequel is well-liked by critics because it has a guaranteed fresh rating on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. It has a $350 million to $400 million budget.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, and Joel David Moore are among the cast members of James Cameron’s The Way of Water, which he also co-wrote with Josh Friedman. Other cast members include CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet.
