The Weeknd’s most recent single, which honors James Cameron‘s Avatar sequel musically, has just been released.

The more than four-minute song, with the lyrics “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength),” is played during Avatar: The Way of the Water‘s closing credits and was released the day before the film’s official Dec. 16 wide release in the United States. The music, a thumping war cry honoring life, death, and resiliency, was written and sung by The Weeknd and produced by Swedish House Mafia and Simon Franglen. It first appeared in the movie’s trailer before being made available in its entirety on Thursday.
The song is from the movie’s original soundtrack, which was made public on Thursday and will be published on vinyl in the first quarter of 2023. The CD contains over 20 songs, including Zoe Saldaña’s performance of “The Songcord,” which is included in the film.
The Sully family, played by Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully and Saldaña’s Neytiri, are followed in The Way of Water, which is set and released ten years after the first movie. They are trying to keep themselves and their children safe by exploring new areas of Pandora while a well-known threat reappears.
Avatar: The Way of Water has made $15.8 million so far from 15 reported regions since it premiered overseas on Wednesday. The domestic launch of the 20th Century and Disney film, which had a run in 4,100 cinemas, is predicted to bring in $150 million to $175 million.
