After decades of anticipation, Avatar: The Way of Water will finally hit theaters in just 100 days, and to mark the occasion, a new teaser image of Jake Sully riding the tide has been released.

As Avatar: The Way of Water begins the countdown for the movie’s premiere in theaters as an early Christmas surprise, the 13-year wait for the sequel has been reduced to only 100 days.

Prepare to return to Pandora and experience the eagerly anticipated sequel with Avatar: The Way of Water, which jumps in time to see Jake and Neytiri starting a family and putting all of their efforts into protecting it from a new threat.

The Lo’ak and Tuktirey of Jake and Neytiri Neteyam as well as their adopted children, Kiri, a teenage Na’vi, and Spider, a human, will all appear in Avatar: The Way of Water.

Sam Worthington will play the same part again as Jake Sully while Neytiri will be played by Zoe Saldana. In addition to Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Sigourney Weaver reprises her role as Kiri, Kate Winslet portrays Ronal, and Cliff Curtis plays Tonowari.

CCH Pounder plays Mo’at, Jamie Flatters plays Neteyam, Britain Dalton plays Lo’ak, Trinity Bliss plays Tuktirey, Filip Geljo plays Aonung, Duane Evans Jr. plays Rotxo, and Bailey Bass plays Tsireya, among other Na’vi roles. In unidentified roles, Vin Diesel and CJ Jones join the cast.

In the follow-up, humans include Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Jermaine Clement as Dr. Ian Garvin, Edie Falco as General Ardmore, and Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue. Other casts include Dileep Rao as Dr. Max Patel, Brendan Cowell as Captain Mick Scoresby,  and Jack Champion as Spider.

The wait will soon be over because Avatar: The Way of Water will hit theaters on December 16, 2022, in just 100 days.
