‘Avatar’ by James Cameron Brings In Almost $900,000 From International Re-release

Almost $900K has already been made by James Cameron‘s Avatar after it was re-released in foreign markets.

James Cameron’s Avatar, which debuted in theaters in 2009, created history. Despite considerable criticism of the premise and content, the movie went on to become the most successful of all time. The film has managed to hold onto that top despite competition from box office titans like Avengers: Endgame thanks to a number of releases. Finally, a sequel will be released in cinemas this year. Disney is enabling viewers to revisit the realm of Pandora in cinemas, though, before that occurs.

It was announced earlier this year that Avatar would be re-released in theaters before its sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water arrives in December. The film has already made a splash, earning approximately $900,000 in several overseas markets. France, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and the Philippines are among these markets. The film was also released today in Mexico, Brazil, Italy, and Germany, and will be released in the United States on Friday.

The sequel is directed by James Cameron and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang. Other cast members are Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet.

Avatar: The Way of Water will be screened in theaters on December 16, 2022.
