Argylle, the impending espionage thriller film from Apple TV+, starring Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa, has gotten a new picture. The film centers on a proficient spy who suffers from amnesia and is tricked into believing that he is really a famous novelist with a particular interest in espionage novels. The movie is helmed by Matthew Vaughn from a screenplay penned by Jason Fuchs, and it is inspired by the forthcoming self-titled novel written by Ellie Conway. A star-spangled ensemble will also appear in Argyll, which will include Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, Rob Delaney, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson, in addition to Cavill and Lipa.
Cavill and Lipa seem to be entwined in what looks like a romantic dance, which appears to be taking place in some restaurant or bar setting. R. Lee Ermey’s hairstyle and a green suit seem to have inspired Cavill’s new appearance for the photo. Lipa is decked up in a shimmering yellow gown and a bob haircut. In the backdrop, there seems to be a divide, with people sitting in a red-tinged part on the left and a statue in some off-green hue on the right side.
The iconic superhero role Superman in Justice League and the lead role in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are roles that have established successful Cavill’s career. He most recently appeared in the Netflix series Enola Holmes as Sherlock Holmes and in the blockbuster series The Witcher as Geralt of Rivia, and Enola Holmes 2 and The Rosie Project will be his next projects. Dua Lipa’s first major acting role will be in Argylle, which will be her feature film debut. Lipa is a multi-platinum recording artist who has won three Grammy Awards. Lipa’s first album, released in 2017, has been awarded platinum in a number of countries across the globe. Take a look at the official image for Argylle below:

It seems that Director Vaughn is an ideal choice for this project, having previously helmed Kick-Ass and all three films in the Kingsman franchise. Fuchs has written the screenplays for a number of Hollywood films, including Wonder Woman and Pan, and he is also an actor who will feature in Argylle. Despite the fact that Conway’s novel has not yet been hit shelves, it is planned to release on September 29th of this year. Argylle production started in August 2021 across Europe. Argylle is the first movie of a planned three-part film trilogy.
Argylle‘s official release date is still kept under wraps, but it is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ later this year.
