Recent weeks have seen many substantial moves at HBO Max, including the scrapping of several series and, most notably, the Batgirl movie, which cost an estimated $90 million to produce. On the other hand, it seems that they have not yet finished their canceling binge, since more shows have been removed from their platform.

This week, HBO Max is weeding out an additional 36 titles, including 20 original shows.
Aquaman: King of Atlantis, a three-episode animated miniseries that premiered last year, is one of the shows eliminated. The series takes place after the events of the 2018 blockbuster Aquaman but is not canon within the DC Extended Universe. James Wan is one of the executive producers of the film.
Other original content, including Ellen’s Next Great Designer, Close Enough, Esme & Roy, Little Ellen, Generation, The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, Tig n’ Seek, and many others, will also be taken down from HBO Max, along with non-original content like My Dinner with Herve and Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.
Earlier this year, the streaming service also eliminated several of its original films and selected HBO original series. Unknown at this time is if these canceled series will move to other platforms or whether further shows and films will be eliminated in the coming weeks.
