Due to Amber Heard‘s scandals, fans of the DC Extended Universe have expressed their wish for weeding her out from all of the series. There is even an online petition demanding for her dismissal that has garnered over 2 million signatures, but much to the disappointment of her detractors, Amber resumed her role for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the impending sequel.
However, as it turns out, fans came dangerously close to achieving their dream, as Warner Bros.

almost erased Amber from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, according to a recent report. Initially, WB had no intention of bringing the Mera actress back for the sequel due to worries over her lack of chemistry with main hero Jason Momoa.
This new knowledge comes as a bit of a surprise since I’ve always believed Momoa and Heard had incredible chemistry together, not only in the film but also in real life. As of now, fans continue to call for Amber‘s dismissal from the DCEU, and as her defamation trial unfolds, it’s certain to have a significant impact on her future in the franchise.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, meanwhile, have been rescheduled until March 17, 2023.
