Amber Heard‘s life and career have taken a significant turn for the worst during the last week as a result of her defeat in the multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit that her ex-husband Johnny Depp brought against her. While the actress has made it plain that she will be appealing the case, rumors continue to circulate about her future as an actor, particularly in the DC Extended Universe.
A new report reveals that all of Amber‘s sequences were removed from the DCEU sequel, and this comes only a few days after the verdict was handed down. On Twitter, insider KC Walsh shared a text exchange with an unnamed tipster who said that WB conducted a meeting over the actress’ future in the Aquaman franchise, revealing that she is no longer involved with the movie.
As of now, it is reasonable to presume that the picture will undergo more reshoots since that Heard is no longer engaged. It should also be noted that Mera’s fate in the film has been up in the air. With Aquaman 2‘s release schedule moved out to March 2023, WB and DC Films still have plenty of time to come up with anything. The next months should be exciting.
The theatrical release of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ has been pushed back until March 17, 2023.
