Another feature with A-list talent is being added to Apple TV+’s lineup. The streaming platform now includes Causeway, an A24 drama starring Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry.

Apple did not specify the project’s potential theatrical run when it said Causeway will debut in cinemas and on Apple TV+ later this year. Although the streaming service has plans for a more conventional broad release for its upcoming Brad Pitt racing movie, streaming titles that go to theaters often have modest day-and-date plays in a few locations. IAC Films, IPR.VC, Excellent Cadaver, and A24 are the producers of Causeway.
CODA helped Apple win the Best Picture Oscar earlier this year, making it the first streaming service to do so. A few of its high-profile forthcoming films include Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese in Killers of the Flower Moon, and Octavia Spencer, Will Ferrell, and Ryan Reynolds in a musical rendition of A Christmas Carol, Spirited.
Lawrence most recently featured in Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up, and the two are set to work together once more on the Apple film Bad Blood, in which she will play disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.
