A new explosive teaser for Ambulance, director-producer Michael Bay’s next project, has been dropped, providing a glimpse of the impending thriller, which is scheduled to open on April 8, 2022.
Ambulance, like many of Michael Bay’s films, is a suspense thriller with plenty of explosions and fast-paced chase scenes. The new movie’s teaser teases us with a preview of the action-packed adventure we can look forward to. It follows Sharp, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II of The Matrix Resurrections, as he urgently needs money to pay for the hospital bills for his wife’s progressively worsening condition. Sharp’s desperation compels him to seek assistance from his adopted brother Danny, portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal, a career crook who only leads his life on charisma. And, in lieu of genuine assistance, Danny offers his brother a spot in his impending bank robbery, which will be the largest in Los Angeles history.

However, when their heist goes wrong, the two brothers kidnap an ambulance carrying a wounded officer and an EMT called Cam Thompson, who is portrayed by Eiza González. The film will follow the ambulance and its passengers, both captives and kidnappers, as they race across Los Angeles, evading police and attempting to stay alive.

The new teaser, which was dropped with a new poster today, demonstrates the film’s incredible degree of intensity. Michael Bay films are well-known for their intense violence, and this one is no exception. Ambulance, on the other hand, is far more limited than previous Bay films, like the Transformers saga. The film includes a straightforward setting and a small cast of central characters, which eventually works to heighten the film’s suspense. The new poster features the three major protagonists with a picture from the ambulance pursuit, reflecting the film’s very simple yet pulse-pounding theme.
Lars Andreas Pedersen, and Laurits Munch-Petersen, the creators of the 2005 Danish film Ambulance, served as the inspiration for the story of Ambulance. Chris Fedak, who previously worked on Prodigal Son and Chuck, penned the script for the picture. The film was produced and directed by Michael Bay. James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, William Sherak, and Ian Bryce are all involved in the film’s production.
On April 8, 2022, Ambulance will be released exclusively in cinemas. In the meanwhile, enjoy the new teaser and IMAX below.
