In the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room, Amanda Seyfried will star with Tom Holland. The Mamma Mia actress, 36, was nominated for an Academy Award for her work in David Fincher’s Mank as silent cinema queen Marion Davies. She will co-star with Holland, a 25-year-old international sensation and current Spider-Man actor for Marvel.
The Crowded Room, a 10-episode series by Pieces of a Woman director Kornel Mundruczo, will reunite Seyfried and Holland. The show is characterized as a “seasonal anthology” that explores a variety of inspirational stories of people who have overcome mental illness. Holland will portray Danny Sullivan, a guy who will also act as an executive producer on the program, while Seyfried will play Ray, a psychologist, and single mother. The plot was written by noted screenwriter Akiva Goldsman and is based on both personal facts and Daniel Keyes’ excellent memoir The Minds of Billy Milligan.

Following his involvement in the original film Cherry, Holland will collaborate with Apple TV+ on a new series. The actor, who is now in theaters as Nathan Drake in Uncharted in addition to his blockbuster role as Spider-Man, is one of the most well-known figures in the industry. Seyfried will also play healthcare billionaire Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu’s forthcoming series The Dropout. The Crowded Room will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ soon, with nothing more known about the newly announced, star-studded drama.
