Alycia Debnam-Carey, one of the very first members of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, has decided to leave the show after seven seasons.
Debnam-Carey starred as Alicia Clark in the prequel of The Walking Dead, which premiered in 2015. Her character explores the pain and suffering after being bitten by a zombie on Sunday night’s episodes. Alicia vows to aid others after successfully recovering from the threat of turning herself into a zombie.
Coincidentally, Kim Dickens, who portrays Alicia’s mother, was expected to come back in the second half of this season after leaving the show in season four. Together with the original showrunner, the majority of the show’s initial series regular cast has left throughout the years.
Debnam-Carey announced her resignation on Instagram, adding that Sunday’s episode marks the end of an unbelievable and life-changing journey of portraying Alicia Clark, which follows her joining the upcoming Hulu series, Saint X.
