It’s official: the Ghost crew’s surviving members will make their live-action debut in Ahsoka! When the spin-off series arrives next year, several of the iconic Star Wars Rebels characters will join Rosario Dawson‘s, Ahsoka Tano!
The announcement was made on Day 3 of the Star Wars Celebration when the Ahsoka sizzle reel was shown. Hera Syndulla and Ezra Bridger, as well as Ahsoka Tano, are shown in the video. A short image of Sabine Wren is also included.
Although they are the only members of the Ghost crew that are featured in the video, they are not the only ones who will appear in the series. Rosario Dawson and Chopper, who is also expected to star in the program, stepped out on stage during their panel.
In addition to all of these fantastic gifts, Natasha Liu Bordizzo attended the discussion and confirmed her role as Sabine Wren. Bordizzo‘s addition to the Ahsoka cast has been confirmed in prior sources. Although there have been rumors that she will play the Mandalorian in the series, Lucasfilm has yet to confirm her casting. Thankfully, we finally have a date for Sabine’s big live-action debut in 2023.
Unfortunately, the names of the actors who will play Hera and Ezra have yet to be revealed. However, there is a chance that the casting may be released later this year.
Ahsoka is the second spin-off series to star a character that first appeared in The Mandalorian. Despite her extensive history in animated programs, Ahsoka just made her live-action debut in the Star Wars franchise in 2020.
The Ahsoka series has yet to be granted an official release date, but it is expected to launch in 2023 on Disney+.
